Lori Dorcik, our Chief Operating Officer, is a driven and dedicated professional with a passion for helping organizations and employees thrive. Originally from Chicago, Lori spent most of her childhood in Florida, finally making Raleigh, NC, her home in 2024 with her partner, John, and their beloved cat, Bitty.
Her career journey has been rich and varied, with each role contributing new skills and experiences that led her to help leaders develop across multiple countries—a milestone she finds especially rewarding. She believes that staying open-minded is the key to professional success.
She holds advanced certifications in Human Resources, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR). Lori is also an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). Building on her education from Polk State College, she’s currently completing a degree in Business Management and Leadership at Bellevue University.
Beyond work, Lori enjoys fashion, sewing, and spending time with her family. A fan of NFL football, she proudly cheers for the Carolina Panthers. She is passionate about causes like animal rescues and supporting families facing medical challenges.
When she’s not working or volunteering, you might find Lori indulging her love of travel—her favorite destination so far has been Havana, Cuba, though Ireland and Tahiti are next on her list. And for a bit of fun, she spends time with her family and friends, and enjoys trying new restaurants.
Lori’s personal connection to estate planning stems from her family's experience with Medicaid Estate Recovery, which took her grandparents’ home to cover long-term care expenses. This drives her commitment to helping others avoid similar hardships.
